How do you reduce humidity?

We install panels filled with 100% natural minerals — desiccants — into the return airflow of your system: the ceiling of a walk-in cooler, the return vents of a building, or the plenum of a larger unit. As air passes through, the minerals quietly pull moisture out of it. No electricity, no moving parts.

What are the benefits of controlling humidity in walk-in coolers?

Drier air holds temperature better, so you get lower, steadier temperatures and up to 50% longer food storage life. You'll also see far less shrinkage and spoilage, fewer defrost cycles, slower bacterial growth, longer compressor life, and lower energy bills.

How do the panels help save energy?

Drier air feels cooler, so you can raise the thermostat a few degrees — roughly 5% savings per degree. Removing moisture also cuts the latent heat your system has to fight, so it runs more efficiently and cycles less often.

How much energy do the panels use?

None. The panels run on natural minerals, not electricity — no motor, no noise, no moving parts to break down, and no waste water to drain like an electric dehumidifier.

How long do the panels last, and how often are they serviced?

The panels are rechargeable and last for years. In commercial refrigeration we service them every 4–8 weeks; in air-conditioning systems, every 12–18 months. That ongoing service is exactly what our ProTEC program is built to cover.
